Couples massage
Overview:
Couples massage allows a couple to receive a massage in the same room at the same time, allowing for both to experience the benefits of massage together. Massage style is generally Swedish and the setting is generally in a private studio or spa room, but this may vary significantly by therapist. Two therapists are in the room, allowing the couple to each receive a therapist.
In some cases, a couples massage may also incorporate a teaching component, where the couple learns massage techniques that they can use to perform massage on each other.

How it works:
The couple is generally placed in the same room together, sometimes with a curtain or partition between them. Generally a form of Swedish massage is utilized as a base, although other types of massage—typically Esalan, Lomi Lomi, reiki, reflexology, etc. may be incorporated. Two massage therapists are in the room and so each member of the couple has their own therapist. In some cases, candles, roses, aromatherapy oils, and other additions may be included to set the appropriate atmosphere and create a wonderful experience.

Preparing for your visit: In many cases, the massage therapist will come to you, visiting offices, events, and even working in public spaces. Wear loose clothing and try to stay away from the caffeine immediately before your massage.
